Mariam R. Paracha likes bringing stories to life through visual art and film. As an art director and filmmaker, she combines creativity and technical know-how to craft visuals that are both beautiful and emotionally engaging. Her projects span animation, short films, and documentary filmmaking, reflecting her passion for connection through storytelling in all its forms.
She worked as the art director, voice actor, and co-founder of a Pakistan-based hand-drawn animation studio for The Glassworker, Pakistan’s first hand-drawn animated film. In 2024, she co-directed the short documentary Niswan Nama: Women, Theater, Activism, which received the Patakha Fellowship. Mariam pays close attention to aesthetics, detail, and human emotion to make sure her work truly connects with people and leaves a lasting impact, whether she’s behind the camera or leading the creative vision.
